Since 1992 Spicewood Vineyards has been producing distinguished Texas Hill Country wines that are known for their timeless appeal and exceptional character. Beautifully nestled in the serene surroundings of the Texas Hill Country among 32 acres of vines, our family winery draws on both our Texas roots and our Spanish inspiration.
When Ron Yates bought the winery in 2007, he brought deep Texas family heritage mixed with a passion for Spanish wines born of his adventures of time spent in the vineyards of Ribera del Duero. Yates, and our Spicewood Vineyards team, have carried on the earnest dedication to making the highest quality wines with Texas-grown grapes that the original owners, Ed and Madeleine Manigold, had when they founded the winery to produce primarily estate wines.
Our commitment to excellence has been recognized with extensive awards from prestigious international wine competitions including medals at the Concours De Lyon International Wine Competition in Lyon, France, the TEXSOM International Wine Awards, the San Francisco International Wine Competition, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

The Spicewood Vineyards winery encompasses approximately 5,000 square feet on two levels for guests and wine production. Celebrate with us on the upper level which includes a spacious tasting and an elegant special events room that is perfect for catered dinners, weddings, receptions, and other activities. We invite you to enjoy a glass a wine on our covered pavilion, with an adjoining water fountain and shaded area that beckon you to relax, picnic and take in the scenic views of our vineyard and the Texas Hill Country.
The lower level of the winery building houses our state of the art wine production facility and barrel room, where we have the capacity to produce more than 5,000 cases of wine annually. The winey is equipped with storage capacity of more than 10,000 gallons of wine. Our underground barrel room is an ideal location to age wine in more than 400 barrels.
